About DocyLis
Last updated: 27 September 2026
DocyLis answers your clinic's calls 24/7, books appointments and sends each caller to the right doctor — in your patients' own language. Never diagnoses.
Why it exists
Most clinics still answer their own phone — a receptionist, an assistant, or a doctor between patients — and when nobody is free, the call is simply gone. Call-tracking data from Invoca puts the healthcare industry’s average unanswered-call rate at 29% (2021 customer-platform data), rising to 37% for dental clinics. These are industry averages, not a claim about any one clinic’s own numbers. DocyLis exists to close that gap: every call answered, the same way, at any hour.
How it works
- A patient calls the clinic’s own number, unchanged — during setup it is connected to the AI receptionist, usually by simple call-forwarding from the clinic’s existing line, or a fresh dedicated number if the clinic prefers one.
- The AI receptionist answers in the caller’s own language, answers questions from the clinic’s own information (timings, fees, address, doctors, services), and books, reschedules or cancels the appointment in the clinic’s own appointment slots, on the call.
- The patient gets a WhatsApp confirmation before they hang up; the clinic gets the transcript and a one-line outcome in its portal, so nothing said on the call is only remembered by whoever answered it.
What it deliberately does not do
- It never gives medical advice, a diagnosis or a prescription. Anything clinical — “what should I take for…”, “is this serious?” — is routed straight to the clinic’s own staff, every time, with no exception.
- It never sells or shares patient data with anyone. Data collected on a clinic’s behalf is used only to run that clinic’s front desk, and is shared with that clinic alone.
- It does not keep a waitlist for cancelled slots, and it does not proactively re-invite a patient who hasn’t visited in a while. The outbound messages it sends today are tied to a booking a patient just made: the WhatsApp confirmation on the call itself, and — unless the clinic turns it off — a day-before reminder for that same appointment.
